Optimal Studio was born out of a deep commitment to improving healthcare, one that started at the front lines of patient care. Our Founder, Evan Henderson, began his career as a social worker, working directly with individuals and families to navigate the complex challenges that shaped their health and well-being. But over time, he realized that the biggest barriers to care weren’t just at the individual level, they were systemic, rooted in fragmented technology, inefficient workflows, and misaligned incentives.

Determined to make a broader impact, Evan transitioned from social work to healthcare technology, joining Epic to help redesign how care is coordinated and delivered. He led the development of population health and care coordination tools, empowering providers to address not just medical conditions, but the social and economic factors that drive health outcomes. Later, as a product and business leader, he worked to bridge the gap between technology, healthcare delivery, and real-world patient needs.

Evan founded Optimal Studio to help healthcare providers remake how they deliver care to the whole person, bringing together the best of technology, strategy, and operational expertise. Today, the Optimal Studio team partners with healthcare organizations, payers, and software companies to create solutions that work in the real world, ensuring that care is not just more efficient, but truly more human.
